The ship arrived fresh from her participation in Exercise "Teamwork 92", she was open to the public 1&2/4. AV-8's '05 & '15' were in various states of disassembly. The main plane and tail from 162083/05 had been donated to 162738/16. Confirmed ConNo during the visit was 160448 C/No (31740)

AV-8's disembarked to Wittering were:-

      162737/12        

These AV-8's were flown to Wittering from Bergen, Norway on 26/3 in two flights of three ("Magic 01" & "Magic 04"), spending the following week flying from here with 1  Sqdn before being transferred to Alconbury on 3/4 as "Stinger 1-6" via a practice diversion at Manston. All 6 re-embarked Nassau in the English Channel during the afternoon of 4/4 after the ship had sailed from Portsmouth on her way back home to the USA.
